Dynamic structure
BI4-Controlling short documentation on dynamic structuring
Setting the dynamic structure in the report schema
To get a dynamic outline, you must first define the outline in the report schema under Display in the Dynamic Outline Index Definition field.

MAIN is used here for the main level / main group -> 5. Personnel expenses
MAIN.SUB is used for the first structure level/group.- > a) Wages …
( Attention: only works if MAIN has been defined for the main group/main level
SUB.DAVON is used for the detail level/detail group- > I. of which for dispatch …..

After MAIN/MAIN.SUB/SUB.DAVON, you define the format in which the structure should be displayed. This means numbers, letters , etc. Therefore, you must then enter how the structure should appear on each level. Separate the definitions with a semicolon (;) ->
MAIN:1 ; MAIN.SUB:a ; SUB.OF:I.
The definition must be adapted to the report!
It may happen that different outlines exist in a report
Here, for example, we have Roman numerals (II.) for the main group and a numerical representation (1, 2, 3...) for the structure. However, further down, the structure changes to letters for the main group and Roman numerals for the structure.

Now you have to define a dynamic structure for both as before:

For the first section, we again have the terms MAIN and MAIN.SUB. Since this structure then changes, we need to continue with the definition and define two more terms (or three, depending on how many levels you have). You can choose any name you like , but care must be taken to avoid duplicate entries . (For example, PASSIVA.SUB would result in an error!!!) It's also important to select a main term and then define a sublevel for it. In this case, we'll use PASSIVA for the main group and PASSIVA.DETAIL for the structure/group.
All definitions are again separated by a semicolon.
MAIN:I;MAIN.SUB:1;PASSIVES:A;PASSIVES.DETAIL:I
Settings in the row scheme
For the main group, enter the following commands in the Dynamic Structure Index column in the row scheme :

MAIN+1 . means that the structure is continued on the web.:

MAIN=1 means that the counter is reset. So the structure starts again from 1.

The 1 must always be entered, as the structure (numbers or letters) has already been defined in the report schema. After the 1, only parentheses and periods are entered if they are needed, e.g., for a) or for I. -> MAIN+1) or MAIN+1.
Now you have to enter the correct commands in those lines where outlines appear so that the dynamic outline works here too.

The following structure was defined in the report schema : MAIN.SUB:1
In the structure itself, however, only the second term is used: SUB
MAIN is the main group and SUB is the subgroup.
Here again, the entry SUB+1 applies for a continuation structure -> so 1) 2) 3)…or ABC Here again, the 1 remains, because the form for the structure was also defined in the report schema (a),b),c) or 1),2),3)…..)
Next, you should check whether any outlines are present in the row schema, either in the description or directly in the dimension entries . If so, these numbers/letters/... should be deleted . Otherwise, duplicate outlines will result.
