1.General

For labeling rows and columns, as well as for displaying different date ranges, the system contains various variables that serve as placeholders for the respective date. These are listed here according to their return value.

Columns and rows can also be combined to label them.

Please note that all placeholders enclosed in square brackets [ ] must be written in capital letters. For better readability, the brackets have been omitted in this description.

2. Placeholder for the date

The date functions return a single date

2.1 TODAY or TDATE

Returns the current date.

2.2 SDATE

Returns the first day of the service date of the selected period.

2.3 EDATE

Returns the last day of the service date of the selected period.

 

2.4 SREFDATE

Returns the first day of the reference date of the selected period.

2.5 EREFDATE

Returns the last day of the reference date of the selected period.

2.6 SREGDATE

Returns the first day of the capture date of the selected period.

2.7 EREGDATE

Returns the last day of the capture date of the selected period.

2.8 SREPDATE

Returns the first day of the report date of the selected period.

2.9 UPDATE

Returns the first day of the entry date for master data changes for the selected period. However, this is only active in the historization module.

Returns the last day of the entry date for master data changes for the selected period. However, this is only active in the historization module.

2.22 SMREPDATE

Returns the first day of the report date for master data changes for the selected period. However, this is only active in the Historization module.

7 placeholders for the day of the week

The WEEKDAY function determines the weekday of the date. To ensure the weekday is displayed correctly, a corresponding translation of the number into a meaningful value must be stored in the NAV Controlling module under Setup / Standard Labels. Otherwise, the function will not return any values.

The WEEKDAYSHORT and WEEKDAYLONG functions differ in which value from the table – weekday(short) or weekday(long) – is returned.

Returns the day of the week (short or long) of the current date.

The YEARANDMONTH function does not display the month and year, but rather returns the number of months from January 1, 2000, to the selected date. This value can be used to determine the number of months between two points in time.

Returns the number of months from 01/01/0000 to the first day of the performance date of the selected period.
